Internet of Things

Internet of Things (IoT) is the next exciting revolution after the dot com revolution. In the future, digital sensing, microcontrollers, network communication, and processing capabilities will be ubiquitously embedded into everyday objects, turning them into the Internet of Things (IoT). In this new paradigm, smart phones and devices will collect data, relay the information or context to each another, and process the information collaboratively using cloud computing and similar technologies. This paradigm shift creates numerous challenges and opportunities for engineering.

Today, the sensor technologies are communicating with other devices including smart phones via internet. And in the future, enormous numbers of sensors will be deployed to interact, sense and communicate over the internet.

Gartner forecasts that 6.4 billion connected things will be in use worldwide in 2016, up 30 percent from 2015, and will reach 20.8 billion by 2020. In 2016, 5.5 million new things will get connected every day.

ABI Research estimates that more than 30 billion devices will be wirelessly connected to the Internet of Things by 2020.

Almost all industry verticals sense an urgent need for IoT-ready for its systems and infrastructure. The widespread adoption of IoT will take time but technology challenges must be tackled before the systems are widely embraced. Big changes in information patterns, the way decisions are made, operations are managed and processes are conceived. EITACIES and IOT EITACIES works with emerging technologies and helping companies in setting up development labs and in small scale pilot trails. We are the innovative technology suppliers creating Internet-of Things capabilities for target industries.

We have technical expertise in machine learning, cloud services and architecture to help the next generation operating system of the IoT/M2M IT ecosphere. Our approach to IOT brings together our capabilities in rapid prototyping, systems integration, security and analytics with our industry understanding and consulting expertise. We have developed several domain specific solutions and POCs that have helped our clients leverage potential benefits of IoT technologies. As IoT’s evolves and new security models and approaches are developed, we apply current security best practices to protect IoT devices and data. Embedded security at the hardware or chip level can protect systems from logic and execution attacks. Achieving an appropriate level of security not only requires new approaches and products but also educated workforces that can partner to implement secure IoT systems.

IOT Client Engagements

Healthcare : We are working with some hospitals to deliver connected-health solutions, ranging from remote patient monitoring to location-enabled technology that tracks people's stability and infection control.

High Tech : We have developed a cross platform web and mobile app that monitors and tracks the connected devices in the intranet and its usage and connection status.

IOT Security : Smart devices allow ubiquitous data collection for tracking and monitoring limiting the success of internet of things with security threat. These threats involve new challenges such as the pervasive privacy-aware management of personal data or method to control or avoid ubiquitous tracking and profiling.
